Thank you for your interest in RAINMAKER Consulting. I formed this company in 2002 to support leaders of socially responsible small businesses and non-profits who I felt were making a positive contribution to our world. I met person after person who sought professional support to take their skills to another level. I saw countless non-profits reeling from inadequate funding. Many lacked diverse funding portfolios or the skills and strategies needed to cultivate supporters for their mission. My experience had shown me that many devoted and well-intentioned leaders lack the support they need to grow professionally in their work. They realize that they cannot do everything themselves to achieve the results they know are possible. They need a partner who they can count on, who has the expertise, and who can help them take their skills to another level.

I saw an opportunity to provide the coaching, skill-building, and needed organizational cultural changes around fundraising. What these leaders needed was someone who inspired change, a rainmaker of sorts. And this was the birth of RAINMAKER Consulting.  

Over the last five years a wide variety of clients have used RAINMAKER Consulting. RAINMAKER has inspired and trained them to raise millions of dollars. We have helped cause cultural changes around money and fundraising. We have coached executives to have breakthroughs in their effectiveness, and we’ve helped non-profits reorganize and redesign their future. We’ve provided effective and often transformational guidance in the form of:

In 2007, a dream came true and a like-minded professional, Beth Spong, joined RAINMAKER Consulting as a Senior Associate. At this point, our combined years of non-profit and business leadership experience tops 40 years! (And you would never believe we could have that much experience and be so young!) I was especially thrilled to bring on someone with such wisdom and insight. Beth has an entrepreneurial spirit, exceptional listening skills, and acute goal setting and problem-solving know-how. She has helped Rainmaker expand both the range of services that we can offer and the number of clients to whom we can provide services. Our client list and recommendations speak for themselves.
